"Father we pray for our Christ Church family during this time of change. May we come together in prayer guided by the Holy Spirit in discerning God's will for the future. We are a Church family and like all families it is our duty to love, support and encourage one another. As disciples of Christ, we are called to witness to the love of Christ and to serve others in the name of Christ. We pray for kindness, gentleness and unity, working together, caring for one another and building each other up. We pray for our vestry working to ensure the smooth running of the Church services, pastoral care and discernment in the appointment of a new Priest. We ask your blessing for the person who will join our Church family and for their future ministry. We ask this in Jesus’ name."

01 Meeting with the Bishop & Dean

On the 30th June the Vestry met with +John Armes and Dean Frances Burberry to discuss the process of appointing a new Rector for Christ Church.

02 Creating a Church Profile

The Vestry are now in the process of pulling together a Church Profile which will be shared with the congregation.

Our Church Profile will include information about our church, the congregation, our community and our accommodation/rectory.

At present our current rectory does not meet the SEC requirements. The Vestry have discussed this and there are some options which can be offered to the prospective incumbent.

The Vestry plan to share the options with the congregation to hear their thoughts as this is a decision for the whole congregation.

If anyone has any questions they are invited to speak with any member of the Vestry.
